We can read about the history and growth of the church in the biblical book known as The Acts of the Apostles. In chapter fourteen, we see for the first time the ordination of church officers commonly referred to as “elders” (elsewhere called pastors, shepherds, overseers and bishops). But it’s in the twentieth chapter that we first learn about their work in the church. In verses 28 – 31, Paul tells the pastors to pay attention to their conduct and example in life, to care for God’s church as a shepherd feeds the sheep, and to protect the flock from anything that would result in the loss of spiritual life.

We have five such shepherds in this church: Dave Roberts, Eric Mizell, Michael Hunt, Lanny Hosfield, and Glenn Eldridge.
