Welcome!

We desire to worship God in spirit and in truth, as stated in John 4:24.

It is our desire to speak the truth of God in its entirety. As the apostle Peter said in 1 Peter 4:11, "If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God."

Thinking Biblically: A New Bible Study for Teens

Starting on May 14th, Edwin Crozier will be leading a semi-monthly Bible study for High School and Middle School students.

Our world is topsy turvy. Like the Israelites in the book of Judges, everyone does what is right in their own eyes. In such a pluralistic, postmodern world, how can we navigate our lives to God's glory? We have to learn to think Biblically.

This study plans to examine the major worldviews and religious paradigms that compete with God's Word. The plan is to insulate and inoculate our young people so they will not only know how to defend the hope we have in Jesus Christ through the Bible, but also learn how to think Biblically about the choices they will make in their lives.

If you are a High School or Middle School student we invite you to "Thinking Biblically." If you have a child or grandchild, niece or nephew, or even just a next door neighbor who is in this age group, feel free to bring them to the study.

Do You Want to Know How to Read the Bible?

Today, folks seem to vacillate between extremes. They either think we can't study the Bible for ourselves at all and so we have to just rely on what trained professionals tell us or it doesn't matter how we study the Bible and we can live however we want as long as we say we love Jesus. The truth is in the middle. We don't have to rely on the professionals. We can study for ourselves. But at the same time, we need to study correctly and handle the Word rightly.

You don't want to miss the next lesson in our series on Using the Standard Properly. On Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 10:30 AM we'll examine "5 Simple Rules for Bible Study." Find out some common sense guidelines for getting into God's Word to help you study on your own.

Getting into the Psalms

The Psalms have been a meaningful part of the Christian faith since the very beginning. It is the most quoted book in the New Testament. The most quoted verse in the New Testament is Psalm 110:1. It has been the source of sermons, teaching, counsel, and comfort for generations.

A few weeks ago, we took an introductory look at The Psalms. This Sunday evening, we will kick off our look at the individual psalms. My plan is to teach on a psalm about once per month. I'm sure an ongoing study of The Psalms will be uplifting, enlightening, and edifying.

So if you are in the Brownsburg area this Sunday (April 22) don't miss our evening assembly at 5:00 PM.
