Praying Like the Psalmists Continues this Sunday
We continue to deepen our understanding of prayer and our connection with God through prayer by looking at the psalms once again. This is the seventh part of our series, "Praying Like the Psalmists." However, I think this is the most important lesson on prayer from the Psalms.
Sunday, April 3, at 5:00 PM, we will study how to "Be Open, Candid, and Honest Like the Psalmists." If you want to dig deeper in prayer, you won't want to miss this study.
If you would like to catch up on the lessons you've missed, check out the previous six lessons.
“Pray on Purpose” this Sunday
You won't want to miss this Sunday morning's lesson. We are going to take a look at how to go a step deeper into our prayer lives. We want to make prayer more meaningful. I believe we accomplish that by making it more purposeful.
According to Luke 5:15-16, our Savior and Master purposefully prayed. This lesson will provide some practical insight into how we can be more like Him, especially when it comes to being a praying part of a congregation.
Don't miss it! Sunday, March 27, 10:30 AM

“Take the Actions of Love” this Sunday
Love is an action, not just an attitude. Sometimes we need to take these actions even when we don't have the best attitude. This Sunday, February 6, at 10:30 AM we will be opening God's word to discover when and how to take the actions of love as God's children. Remember, God is love. The more we learn to take these actions, the more like Him we'll become–and isn't that what life is all about?
Praying Like the Psalmists Continues this Sunday
We view the psalms as the epitome of prayer. We long to pray as those ancient saints did. On Sunday, February 6 at 5 pm, we will be continuing our monthly look at praying as the psalmists did. This lesson will be "Preparing to Pray Like the Psalmists."
What did they do before they prayed? How did they get ready to pray? Why were they able to pray? We'll look at all this on Sunday evening. You don't want to miss it.

Final Installment of “Standing Firm in God’s Grace” This Sunday
At 10:30 AM, on Sunday, January 30, we will be wrapping up our exciting series on "Standing Firm in God's Grace." We will learn that if we don't want to fall away from God's grace, we must stand firmly in the middle of it. We do that as we "Pay God's Grace Forward." That's right, we have to let the grace we have received be an example and guide for us in our relationships and interactions with others.
We'll learn the 5 keys for paying God's grace forward. You won't want to miss this great conclusion to a life-changing series.

The Next Lesson in “Standing Firm in God’s Grace”
This Sunday, January 16th, at 10:30 AM, we will continue our look at "Standing Firm in God's Grace." We've already learned so much about how to insure we will never fall from grace by standing right in the middle of it.
This week we will look at some practical tools God has given us that we can use to fight the battle against sin and Satan. We want to learn to "Rely on God's Strength."

What Denomination Are We?
On Sunday, January 16th, at 5:00 PM, we will be answering what may seem to some to be an odd question. "What Denomination are We?"
When someone asks what denomination members of this congregation are, should we say, "Church of Christ?" Or is there another answer? Don't miss this lesson to find out more about the work of the Brownsburg church.

Do Hard Things
This Sunday, January 2, we are going to start the New Year off with a bang and a challenge. We are going to take a double-dose look at the challenge issued by the Harris brothers in their book Do Hard Things. We'll look at the biblical basis for the five kinds of hard things we need to pursue if we will go beyond the level of mediocrity and instead serve God with excellence. You won't want to miss either one of these lessons.
Happy New Year
This coming Sunday is the first in a new year. What a great time to renew our efforts to serve and glorify God.
Before I offer some New Year's thanks to the brethren at Brownsburg, I want to offer a special invitation to anyone who has stumbled across this page. If you are looking for a church home or if you need help being all that God wants you to be, this New Year could be the perfect time for you to come check us out. We're here to help anyone who wants to serve God and overcome sin through our Savior Jesus Christ.
I want to thank all the members of the Brownsburg church for helping this congregation be all it can be. Obviously, this congregation would be nothing without your dedication and devotion. I am enjoying our new work together and looking forward to accomplishing great things for God's glory with you in the coming year.
I want to thank our elders for their dedicated work on the vision and future of the congregation. Let's all keep praying for them that they will continue to grow and continue to lead us along God's path of righteousness.
I want to thank our deacons for their hard work and service in the congregation. You do far more work than any of us know and probably don't get anywhere near the thanks you deserve.
I want to thank our Bible class teachers. We have so many volunteers to help teach the word of God to everyone in the congregation from the youngest to the oldest. I appreciate your commitment to carrying on the torch of God's word and keeping the fire going among us.
I am convinced that 2011 will be a great year for the Lord's church in Brownsburg. I'm excited to be a part of it.
Happy New Year!
May God bless you this year and may God bless the Brownsburg church this year. More importantly, may we all bless God this year.
Prayer Meeting
On the last Sunday of 2010, we'll be having a very special assembly devoted almost entirely to prayer and singing. We want to praise and thank God for the many blessings of 2010 and seek His guidance and strength for our work in 2011.
Join us at 5:00 PM on Sunday, December 26, as we follow the example of the early disciples in Acts 1:14; 2:42 and devote ourselves to prayer.
