Isn’t it a great thing to walk into the church building each Sunday and be
greeted by a smiling face? How blessed we are to have a warm, family
atmosphere where our guests are made to feel welcome and relaxed.

2004 has certainly gotten off to a great start here at Brownsburg! Three baptisms, two sisters restored, and a well attended gospel meeting have been highlights so far this year. Add to this the number of new families who have placed membership here; the two baptisms during the fourth quarter of 2003, and you can see why things are really looking up around here! Our radio program, Focus on the Bible is getting very positive feedback. Call volume is up as we get a variety of callers from all over the Indianapolis market. Not only are we reaching the lost with the good news of the gospel, but we often receive feedback from brethren in area congregations who let us know how much they appreciate the program. All indications seem to point that more great things will happen as 2004 continues! Isn’t it a great thing to walk into the church building each Sunday and be greeted by a smiling face? How blessed we are to have a warm, family atmosphere where our guests are made to feel welcome and relaxed. We possess tremendous potential here and opportunities abound for this congregation to make a significant impact on the surrounding community! You can help the rest of 2004 be as great as the first few months have been! Never forget the individual responsibility that comes with being a member of this congregation! Make sure you are busy and active in the Lord’s work! Don’t deceive yourself in thinking your efforts aren’t big enough to make a difference! Each member has a stake, a claim, an investment in the work at Brownsburg. You are responsible for doing your part! Thanks to those of you who are working hard and encouraging others to do so! You are an asset to the work! A few years back, I came across the following quote and would like to share it with you as I think it does a great job expressing personal responsibility. There is no substitute for personal ownership, responsibility and self control. Accountability breeds quality and empowerment. When we take ownership for a problem and accept responsibility for our outcomes, we become agents of change as opposed to victims of change. When we resist the temptation to blame others or make excuses, we become part of the solution, not the problem. How are you doing in the area of personal ownership? Do you accept responsibility for your outcomes? Are you a part of your teams solutions, or problems?
